Tristan Mendoza

Thristan Mendoza (born 1989), also called "Tum-Tum", is a marimba virtuoso (a savant) from the Philippines. He learned to play the marimba at 5, has perfect pitch and started his music training at the Philippine Montessori Center in 1995. He has performed at many concerts both in his homeland and worldwide, including in front of the royal family, and has received numerous awards. He later studied percussion under Sir Leodivino Roque at the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Music. Thristan also plays the piano and the guitar.
